Hello my name is Chris and this is my story

I was born in Akron, Ohio and grew up in Canada as an only child. Because both my parents were in aviation, I fell in love with flying and I spent my twenties pursuing an airline career. By the time I reached thirty years old I was a successful Captain for a regional airline. From a child, I was taught to be an atheist and to believe in evolution. One day a fellow pilot gave me some creationist videos and at the same time I began to read the Bible.
     My mind reeled "Could all of my evolutionary beliefs actually be believed by faith?" "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" Romans 1:19-20 I began an unstoppable quest for truth comparing bible prophecy and accuracy to the rest of the world's religions and beliefs.
     I was shocked to find the bible to be 100% accurate historically, prophetically, and scientifically. This study brought me to a crossroad that I had never been to before in my life.... I realized that I had a choice to make.

Either I would have to somehow earn my way to heaven or believe that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross had paid for all my sins. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" Titus 3:5 I became haunted by this chilling statement that the creation scientist had made in his videos; "You could believe the whole bible is true from cover to cover and still die and go to hell." He pointed out that I had broken God's ten commandments and I was in big trouble (lied, stolen, lusted, and taken God's name in vain).
     I was convinced that my eternal destiny was hell. Finally, in a lonely hotel room I turned to the only one who could save me and trusted Jesus Christ as my Saviour. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Romans 10:9-10 & 13 I finally knew that I was on my way to heaven, and I've never been sorry for that wonderful day. From the great white north to the friendly skies... My name is Chris, and this is my story.
